This modular system has a variety of extensions, enabling endless configurations: it can span large areas, it can navigate difficult spaces, and it can even be made into a pen. The Versagate features a 40-inch door section with a large 24-inch opening and rubber-coated, stabilizing feet to increase stability and prevent scratching floors. The basic Versagate system (VG65) comes with a door panel (40-inch) and two medium extensions (20-inch). Three additional sizes of extensions are available: the VG40 (40-inch) VG20 (20-inch) and the VG13 (13-inch). Gate color is white, and the plastic is white.

We bought this gate in December 2010 and it is now February and the button on the gate itself has broken so now we can not open or close it.

We purchased this to manage our two dogs between the kitchen and living room area. There is no doorway, the opening between the two rooms is over six feet. We purchased the basic gate and two extensions. It would be nice if we could set it up in a straight line, but the convex shape helps us in exiting while keeping the dogs on one side or the other.Something to keep in mind if you don't attach it to a wall, it can be pushed aside by a determined dog. We have a super smart puppy who has learned to push it slightly away from the wall and slip through the gate that way. We've since braced it with a telephone table, but we're waiting for the puppy to figure out a way around that.

This set of a gate and two extensions was imperfect when I received it. One extension had a mistake-- that made it impossible to attach to the main frame until I improvised. Given the expense, this mistake should not have happened. However, I was able to improvise, and the gate works nicely, and the extensions stay a part of the gate. It can stand freely if the extensions are bent at the joint, even if the feel are not used. It covers about 60 inches when bent this way. I was able to attach an inexpensive gate (he 40" extension is so expensive) and use them to gate my dogs in a small space, or just block off rooms. I think it was fairly well made, but it and the extensions are too expensive. However, it is much sturdier than some of the alternatives.
